Thanks to Marie Oka – daughter of Frances, for playing the postlude this morning. May God bless you, Marie, as you reflect his beauty through music.

Saint Alban's Nursery Program – Our church offers a respected English pre-school education based on Montessori methods and Christian concern for all children. For information regarding enrollment, specific dates, costs and other information please contact Mrs. Gilma Yamamoto at gilma.yam@gol.com or call her at (03) 3431-8534. From a solid foundation children grow to be confident and competent learners for life.

Ready to do Absolutely Nothing for God? – You're just the kind of person we're looking for. Come sit in silence in the presence of God as St. Alban's Still Prayer group meets each Thursday night, 7:00 p.m, here at the church. Still prayer, or contemplative prayer, or meditation, is a thoroughly Christian form of prayer that more and more of us are trying to reclaim. We use, in particular, the Centering Prayer method. Whether you're an experienced practitioner, or a curious skeptic, you are more than welcome. Please email the Rector, William Bulson, for more info: <bulson.tko@gmail.com>.

PLANNING AHEAD – This year we will have a St. Alban's Auction fundraiser – donations have already started. Keep your eyes open for items that you might want to donate to this ‘new item – antique item’ fundraising auction to help our church have the financial resources it needs to carry out its missions. See Meg Nakano if you have questions.

KNITTERS! – If you were inspired by the beautiful Prayer Shawls which were dedicated on Feb 3, we hope that you will join us for our next meeting at 3:00 p.m. on April 18. This is a simple way to use something you enjoy to help others – ours go to the very needy in Tohoku. You can knit or crochet at your own speed. And Prayer Shawls can include scarves and neck warmers also if you think a whole shawl might be too much. We have patterns and help, so please join us on April 18. For information call Joyce Knight 080 3086 1833.

FELLOWSHIP DINNER APRIL 27 SATURDAY – There will be another chance for you to sample some of John Owens' famous cooking, join in Christian Fellowship with others, and help raise some money for our church. It's a WIN WIN WIN event!! The menu consists of that rich and delicious Tomato Cream Vegetable soup, salad, fresh bread, home baked carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert, tea and coffee.(Dinner costs about 1500yen each) Wine and beer are available for cash donation. Dinner is served at 6:00pm in the Parish Hall. To ensure there is enough food prepared, please use the Sign-up sheet on the board next to the kitchen.

Are you a young adult between the ages of 16 and 30? – Are you free from the evening of Friday May 10th until Sunday May 12th? If your answer is yes to both of these questions, please consider joining the Young Adult's of St. Alban's (YASA) first ministry activity as a volunteer to Kamaishi, Iwate prefecture! Due to limited time to organize this, the deadline for applications is Thursday April 18th 11AM. If you are interested in this activity and would like to know more details, please see Oonagh Collins after the service, or email her at oonagh.d.collins@gmail.com.

Know the Way of Christ, Do the Way of Christ, Be the Way of Christ – Priority Meeting for Sunday School Parents Friday, May 17th at 6:30 PM: Father Bulson and the Sunday School teachers look forward to welcoming all the parents of Sunday School children on Friday, May 17th from 6:30 pm at the church. We will begin with Evening Prayer and move into a presentation and discussion of some new plans we have for the Sunday School children. We would aim to start this September in order to help our children grow in Christ and welcome your input. Topics to be addressed will include the Sunday School program, Kids Chapel, Confirmation classes, Acolyte program, Service program, and Communication tools for the Parents, Children, Rector and Teachers. Pizza and drinks will be served. Please feel free to bring dishes and drinks to share. Child care available. Please RSVP by May 12th to the church office at stalbans@saintalbans.jp to let us know how many to expect and if you need child care.

An English poet said “When Easter comes, can summer vacation be far behind?” – It's high time to start thinking about the summer plan for your children. Sunday School Teachers' Association of Tokyo Diocese is planning the summer camp at Kiyosato (KEEP) from July 30th –August 1st. It is for elementary school children and Sunday school teachers. Book right now! If you want to know more details, please ask Sarah Yoshimatsu.

Helpers wanted for Bulson Hamburger Booth! – Kapatiran of Tokyo Diocese, a ministry with Filipino people in Japan, is celebrating its 25th year. They are going to have “Kapatiran Festa” on 18th of May. St. Alban's is planning to sell our famous hamburgers on that day. John Owens, our great cook, cannot make it. We have another cook, Fr. William Bulson. Hope many of you will help Father to sell hamburgers from 11 a.m. If you can help, please contact Sarah Yoshimatsu.
